IUB celebrates Chaitra Sangkranti 1424

To say goodbye to 1424 and welcoming the Bangla new year 1425; Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) celebrated “Chaitra Sangkranti 1424” on April 12, 2018 through various cultural activities at its own campus in Bashudhara, Dhaka. The School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (SLASS), IUB organized the program that includes typical Bangla food kiosks, traditional Bangla songs, folk music and folk dance. Prof. M. Omar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, IUB inaugurated the event while Dr. Mahbub Alam, Dean, SLASS welcomed everyone to the program. A daylong Conference on "Accountability in Bangladesh: Issues & Debates" was held at the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) on March 29, 2018 at the university campus in Bashundhara R/A, Dhaka. The Conference was organized by 'Global Studies and Governance' program of the School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (SLASS) at IUB.
