Orientation Workshop for the Faculty Members Held at IUB

An orientation workshop for the faculty members of IUB was held on September 21, 2017 at the School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (SLASS). The workshop was organized by the Center for Pedagogy (CP) located at room no 10023 F in Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB). The Center was established as a part of the sub-project funded by HEQEP, Ministry of Education. The workshop was for the faculty members, who have joined IUB since February, 2017.
A total of 25 faculty members from different departments and schools of IUB participated in this highly interactive workshop while the resource person was Professor M. Omar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, IUB. Professor Rahman focused on various aspects of learning and teaching throughout the session. He also described the philosophy and expectations to and from a teacher at IUB as well as explained some indispensable rules of IUB. Deans and Professors of different schools were also present in the workshop.
Earlier Dr. Mahbub Alam, Dean, SLASS and the Sub-Project Manager of Center for Pedagogy (CP) welcomed the participants. The event was conducted by Mr. Obydullah Al Marjuk, Senior Lecturer, SLASS and the Deputy Sub-Project Manager of CP.
