Saara Zabeen earned her BA (Hon's) and Masters Degree in English Literature from Dhaka University. She discusses English foundation courses and English Literature core courses under graduation program. At present she is the Course Coordinator of ENG 102 (English Reading skills). Ms. Saara Zabeen has participated in numerous workshops and seminars held in and outside IUB. In 2009, in the Department of English, IUB, She conducted a workshop titled How to make the first day of class a wonderful experience for the students. She also presented a paper titled The Introduction of Tom Sawyer's Adventure to the Students of Independent University, Bangladesh to Develop their Reading Habit in the conference named Revisiting Mississippi: the adventure of Mark Twain held in IUB on 23rd September 2010. She co-authored a research paper titled Extensive Reading: Using Diaspora Literature to develop learners Command in Reading skills in the SLAS Faculty Research Project 2012. At present she is working in the SLASS Faculty Research project 2013. The title of the research paper is Code switching in children in Bangladesh. Her areas of interest are Literature and History.
