Department of Media & Communication organized a Workshop on Curriculum Development

A workshop on curriculum development and Self-Assessment (SA) activity of the Department of Media & Communication was held at the seminar room of School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences on August 4, 2016. Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) directors and all members of the faculty of the department were present at the workshop.
Dr. Mahbub Alam, Director, Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) addressed the workshop participants. He focused on some key components of accreditation and clarified the conceptual issues of quality assurance and standards set by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Bangladesh. Professor Dr. G. M. Shahidul Alam, Head of the department thanked all faculty members for attending and said that IUB always believes in quality and therefore quality assurance has been its focus from the beginning. Head of the Self-Assessment (SA) Committee Professor Dr. Zakir Hossain Raju described the present status of the department. He also thanked all faculty members for their uninterrupted support. Mr. Obydullah Al Marjuk, Additional Director of IQAC presented a few slides on relevant issues. All faculty members of the department actively participated in the workshop.
The program was organized by the Self-Assessment (SA) Committee of the Department of Media & Communication under the supervision of Mr. Mohammad Masud Chowdhury and Ms. Tazeen Ahmed, Senior Lecturers and Members of SA Committee. The program was supported by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of IUB and funded by the Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) of Ministry of Education in cooperation with University Grants Commission, Bangladesh.
